What is U10 Soccer?
Under 10 Soccer (or U10) is a about kids having fun while continuing to develop their technical skills and learning the importance of teamwork. At the U10 level, boys and girls play on separate teams and practice twice per week. The kids play small-sided soccer in a 6v6 format emphasizing ball control, passing and player positioning. In U10, teams are formed for both the girls division and the boys division and are limited to a maximum of 10 players per team. Each child plays at least half of every game.
Who can participate?
Boys and girls whose birthdates fall within the specified time periods are eligible to play U10 soccer. To verify your child’s eligibility to play U10 soccer, click on the Age Group Chart.
When do the kids play?
The U10 season is a ten (10) week season. The spring season begins in late February and ends in the middle of May. The fall season starts at the beginning of September and continues through the middle of November. Both the boys teams and the girls teams have two practices and one game per week.
Where do the kids play?
The U10 age group’s practices and skills sessions will be held at the North Mount Carmel in Hampton. All U10 teams will play their games on Saturdays. The U10 teams may also choose to play in local recreational team tournaments. Teams are assigned and formed by the HCSA Coaching Coordinator and Age Group Coordinators.

We offer 2 options to purchase your uniforms. The first and cheapest way is to purchase online for $89. The second way to purchase is onsite at HCSA for $107

All players are required to wear shin guards. Soccer cleats are not required and playing in tennis shoes is allowed. All players should bring a size 3 soccer ball and a water/drink bottle to every training and game.

Adult volunteers are always needed for the U10 Age Group! If you are interested in being a head coach or an assistant coach, please so indicate on your registration form or contact the U10 Lead Age Group Coordinaotr. After the teams are formed and coaches assigned, each team will need a Team Parent to assist the team coaches with administrative duties, including the preparation of a snack schedule, indicating whose turn it is to bring team snacks and planning the team’s end of the season trophy party. If you are willing to serve as a Team Parent, please so indicate on the registration form or let your coach know of your willingness to help out.
